Arthur Benjamin’s formula for changing math education.  The TL;DW takeaway is: current high school math curriculum is designed as a buildup to calculus.  While calculus is indeed useful, most high school students will never use it.  Instead, we should put probability and statistics at the pinnacle (and I’d throw in basic logic as well), since it is frequently and directly applicable in everyone’s lives.
